NCAA Tournament

For their eighth-straight postseason appearance, the Hokies stayed close to home and bused four hours Friday evening to participate in the NCAA Tournament at the University of Maryland.

At an NCAA press conference, Tech's lone senior Erin Gibson spoke about coming out strong against DePaul and making a good showing in the NCAA Tournament.

Former U.S. Olympic and current WNBA coach Van Chancellor gave the Hokies a brief pep talk before their practice Saturday afternoon in preparation of the matchup with the 25-4 Blue Demons.

12th-seeded Tech looked sharp during drills, as they prepared to face 16th-ranked Depaul, the 5th seed in the Chatanooga Region.

Coach Beth Dunkenberger had the well-rested Hokies loose as the prepared for their first game in over two weeks, looking to build on their 17-11 record.

Tickets are still available for Tech's game at the ComCast Center in College Park, Maryland, Sunday night at 7 p.m.
