Women's Basketball Comes From Behind To Beat Hoyas
Erin Gibson posts a career-high in points and rebounds

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Virginia Tech women's basketball team rebounded from a slow start Saturday afternoon to beat Georgetown, 71-64, at McDonough Gym. With the win, the Hokies improve to 13-2, 4-0 in the BIG EAST while the Hoyas fall to 9-6, 1-3 in the conference.

Erin Gibson (Fr., Galax, Va.) led the Hokies with a double-double as she posted a career-high 18 points and 14 rebounds. Sarah Hicks (r-Sr., Roanoke, Va.) tallied 17 points, five boards and seven assists. Ieva Kublina (So., Riga, Latvia) and Chrystal Starling (Jr., Syracuse, N.Y) had 13 and 12 points, respectively.

Georgetown was led by forward Nok Duany (Jr., Bloomington, Ind.) with 18 points and 11 rebounds.

The Hokies are back in action on Wednesday as they face West Virginia at 7 p.m., at Cassell Coliseum.
