Hokies take in the sights of Paris
European Tour Day Two
August 9, 2000
We landed in Paris at 8:15 AM European time (that's 2:15 AM to those of you back in the States!). After a trip through customs, and a long wait for our luggage, we boarded a double-decker tour bus bound for the city. We met our tour guides, Jason and Annie, and headed for our guided tour of Paris.
Some if the things that we saw included the Notre Dame Cathedral, The Louvre, and the Eiffel Tower. Almost every restaurant has a place to eat outdoors with little tables and chairs.
After a power nap and some dinner, we went down for a boat ride on the Seine River. It was very beautiful at night and the team got some great pictures! Needless to say, no one had trouble falling asleep!

Dear Mom, Dad, Mike, Sheri, Mandy, Mel, Mammaw, and Max,
Hello from Paris! I miss all of you, but I'm having an excellent time touring. Its been only two short days, but I've already seen so much history here in France. I love it here, but my only regret is that my friends and family cannot share this wonderful experience with me and my team. I'll be home soon to tell you all about my time here.
I love and miss you, Missy |
