Ticket exchange feature added to hokiesports.com
Ticketholders to be able to resell tickets to other fans
November 15, 2006
BLACKSBURG, Va. - The Virginia Tech Athletics department will institute a ticket exchange program that will allow fans to purchase tickets from ticketholders unable to attend specific contests. The service will begin on November 15 and be available for men's and women's basketball.
The service, available at http://www.hokietickets.com/exchange/ , allows ticketholders to post their unused tickets on the board so that the seats may be better utilized. The goal of this service is for fans to interact with other fans to allow better access to hard-to-come-by tickets to Virginia Tech basketball games. This should result in larger actual crowds at the events, enhancing the home court experience for the Hokies.
Fans will register and create an account. Tickets must be posted for no more than face value. Scalping on this site is not allowed. Buying tickets on this board and then reselling them at a higher price on this site for personal profit is prohibited. If someone is discovered to be using the board in this fashion, the account will be deactivated.
