GREENSBORO, N.C. - Virginia Tech picked up two wins on Sunday and will enter the 31^st Annual ACC Women's Basketball Tournament in Greensboro, N.C. as the No. 10 seed. Tech will face Boston College, the No. 7 seed at 6 p.m. in the first round of the tournament.

The Hokies took care of business on the court with a 61-56 win over Wake Forest in Cassell Coliseum. The victory was the 300^th in Cassell in the program's history. The win, coupled with Miami's loss to Boston College later in the day, created a three-way tie between the Hokies, Hurricanes and Demon Deacons. In the group, both Tech and Wake Forest defeated Miami moving the Canes to the No. 12 seed. The Hokies then won a coin flip to determine the No. 10 and 11 seeds.

Tech (15-14, 2-12) lost to Boston College, 63-53, on Jan. 3 in Blacksburg in the ACC opener for both teams. This year's matchup will be a repeat of last year's opening round game won by Hokies, 60-54, in overtime. Boston College (19-10, 7-7) defeated Miami, 63-52, in Coral Gables, Fla. in their regular season finale.

The Hokies are 2-3 in their previous three ACC Tournament appearances and are 2-1 in opening round games with wins over Wake Forest (73-60, 2006) and Boston College (60-54 OT, 2007) and the loss occurring against Wake Forest (56-61, 2005).

The Virginia Tech-Boston College game will not be televised, but can be seen via the internet on ACC Select. The game will be broadcast on SuperTalk 101.7 and webcast (audio only) on hokiesports.com.
