    Nick Brascetta capped an impressive sophomore season by earning All-America honors at 149 pounds in Des Moines, Iowa. Seeded eighth, the St. Paris, Ohio, native completed a big run in the consolation bracket to earn his first All-America medal. Brascetta finished the season with a record of 31-7 and placed eighth at the NCAA Championships. He became Tech’s 11th All-American in wrestling with his win over American’s Kevin Tao.

    In 2015, despite missing a majority of the season with an injury, the junior came on strong late to reach the podium. Unseeded, Brascetta beat the Nos. 9, 8 and 5 seeds en route to a fourth-place finish in St. Louis.
