High School: Wrestled at Greater Latrobe High for Coach Tad Harbert … Was the No. 71 overall recruit in the country, as ranked by InterMat and was ranked eighth nationally at 182 pounds by FloWrestling and 11th by Amateur Wrestling News … Went a perfect 42-0 as a senior, winning his first Pennsylvania Group AAA state title, using a second-period takedown to defeat Mt. Lebanon’s Kellan Stout 3-1 in the finals … Went 42-2 as a junior, placing third at the Pennsylvania state meet, and went 41-5 as a sophomore in placing eighth … Also went 41-11 as a freshman, but failed to place at the state meet … Won the always-tough WPIAL AAA region three times and took second as a freshman. … Won the Super 32 Challenge as a senior to propel him up the national rankings … Went 166-18 for his high school career, setting the school record for career wins.
