Bonilla-Bowman, Decker make debuts in national polls
Team heads to two separate tournaments this weekend

BLACKSBURG - Virginia Tech freshmen wrestlers Jon Bonilla-Bowman and Eric Decker both made their collegiate debuts in national polls released Tuesday. Bonilla-Bowman, coming off an upset of Nebraska's 10th-ranked Robert Sanders, climbed into the No. 18 spot at 149 pounds in the USA Today/InterMat/NWCA poll while occupying the No. 24 spot in the wrestlingreport.com poll. He is 10-2 on the season.
Freshman Eric Decker, who is 7-2 on the young season, is ranked 25th by the wrestlingreport.com poll at 165 pounds.
Steve Borja, who has lost two of his last three matches, took a tumble in both polls, falling to 14th in the wrestlingreport.com poll and 16th in the InterMat poll. He wrestles at the 184-pound class and is 9-2 on the season.
The team will be back in action this weekend, participating in two tournaments. A majority of the squad will wrestle in the Davidson Open on Saturday in North Carolina while Bonilla-Bowman, Decker, Borja, Steve Ratley and Sheridan Moran will participate in the Penn State Open on Sunday.
