    Hokies to head to Campbell for one last tuneup
    Tech ranked seventh in this week's national poll

    BLACKSBURG - The seventh-ranked Virginia Tech wrestling team will get one final tuneup before heading west for the NWCA National Duals next weekend, heading to Buies Creek, N.C., to take on Campbell Saturday at 2 p.m. inside Gore Arena.

    Tech is 13-2 overall and finished 5-0 in ACC play, while Campbell is 5-6 overall, but is on a three-match winning streak.

    Tech’s lineup could feature six ranked wrestlers this weekend, led by fifth-ranked Pete Yates at 165 pounds. Jarrod Garnett is ranked seventh at 125 pounds by Amateur Wrestling News, but is ranked third in the coaches poll, which is 1/3 of the NCAA qualification process. Nick Brascetta is ranked fifth at 149 pounds and Jesse Dong is ranked seventh at 157 pounds. Zach Neibert sits at No. 10 at 141 pounds and Erik Spjut is 19th at 133 pounds. All rankings are from Amateur Wrestling News.

    Campbell has no one ranked in AWN, but its 125-pounder is ranked 28th in the first coaches poll.

    There will be no live stats or live video provided by Campbell. @VT_Wrestling will provide periodic updates throughout the match.
