June 14, 2004

BLACKSBURG, Va. - The Virginia Tech women's soccer 2004 recruiting class has been named the 24th best in the nation according to Soccer Buzz Magazine. The poll, in its seventh year, is selected by the staff at Soccer Buzz.

"While we are ecstatic to be bringing to Virginia Tech one of the best 25 recruiting classes in the country, we do realize that a lot of hard work lies ahead," Virginia Tech head coach Kelly Cagle said. "We have lofty goals for our program as we enter into the best soccer conference in the country - the ACC -, and we will be looking to all of our athletes, new and returning, to help us reach these goals!"

At 24th, this is the highest that a Virginia Tech class has been ranked. Tech is also listed sixth in the Mid-Atlantic region. The Hokies are one of six Atlantic Coast Conference teams listed in the top 25. The comple poll can be viewed at www.soccerbuzz.com.
