PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Virginia Tech senior women's soccer player Jessica Myers (Richmond, Va.) was named the BIG EAST co-Offensive Player of the Week on Monday for her role in leading the Hokies to three wins last week.

Myers scored two second half goals as the Hokies rallied to beat American 3-2 in double overtime on Sept. 2. Her goal in the 104th minute propelled the Hokies to their first win in the new soccer stadium. She also scored a goal in both matches over the weekend as Virginia Tech beat Miami 2-0 on Friday and Marshall 3-0 on Sunday. Her goal at Marshall proved to be the game-winner. Myers now has 14 goals, moving her to fifth in career goals.

Myers shared this week's league honor with West Virginia's Chrissie Abott. Abbott scored four goals and added an assist while earning all-tournament honors at the James Madison tournament. She notched the game-wining goal against Michigan State.

Michelle Biehl of Villanova earned Defensive Player of the Week, while her teammate, Chrissy Dolan, was named the Goalkeeper of the Week. Biehl led the Wildcats to two shutouts, and Dolan held all four of the Wildcats' opponents scoreless last week. Notre Dame's Jen Buczkowski was named Rookie of the Week after scoring two goals and adding three assists in the Notre Dame Classic over the weekend.
