GREENSBORO, NC - Emily Jukich scored on a one-time shot from 15 yards out midway through the second half to break a 2-2 tie with High Point, Sunday. The 3-2 win kept Virginia Tech women's soccer unbeaten this season. The game was the Hokies final game at the UNC Greensboro tournament.

The tally was Jukich's second of the day and fifth of the season for the Hokies (3-0-1). Erin Moore fed the ball into the box from the left wing. Jukich stopped the ball with her chest, then spun and hit the ball waist-high into the right corner of the goal for what wound up being the game-winner.

Tech had jumped out to a 2-0 lead before High Point rallied to tie the game. Jukich scored from six yards off a feed from Heather Hallberg just 8:50 into the game, giving the Hokies the early lead. Laurie Beth Puglisi added the second goal of the game, scoring after a throw-in by Julian Johnson for Tech's 2-0 advantage.

High Point (0-4-0) rallied back to tie the game. Traci Anderson scored her first goal of the season on a breakaway to get the Panthers on the scoreboard. Beckie Lesh tied it all up at the 52:15 mark when she knocked in a rebound.

The Hokies held a 17-5 advantage in shots, with Nail recording seven saves.

"After this weekend, I am very pleased to come out with two wins," Virginia Tech head coach Kelly Cagle said. "Both wins were hard fought and we know we still have a lot to work on. We are excited to come back to town 3-0-1. I'm very encouraged by how we played."

Jukich now leads the team in goals (5), points (10) and shots (15). Johnson tacked on another assist, bringing her total to six for the season.

Moore's assist of Jukich's game-winner brings her career total of assists to 12. She now ties former-Hokie Jessica Myers with the second-most assists in Tech history. Emily Barnhart is one assist ahead of Moore and Myers with 13.
