Harvey named ACC Player of the Week
Harvey is just the fifth Hokie to earn the Conference's weekly honor

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Junior Jennifer Harvey was named ACC Player of the Week this week after helping the Hokies go 2-0 on the weekend while participating in their own Hilton Garden Hokie Invitational.

Harvey scored her first goal of the season in Friday’s 4-0 victory over a tough UNC Greensboro team and was later the team’s lone goal scorer in Sunday’s 3-0 win over the College of Charleston, netting all three Hokie goals.

Harvey became the 10th Hokie to score a hat trick and first since senior Emily Jukich did so in 2006. This was the first career hat trick for Harvey, who also earned Virginia Tech Athlete of the Week honors for her performance.
