The Hokies dropped a close one at No. 7 Clemson, 3-2, on Sunday afternoon ... Alani Johnson scored on a header from Kallie Peurifoy and Candace Cephers scored unassisted for the Hokies, but Clemson scored in the final 11 minutes for the win.

On Friday, Adair and his wife, Shelbylynn, welcomed the birth of their their second child, son Austin Tate Adair ... Shelbylynn is an assistant coach on the Virginia Tech volleyball team.
