BLACKSBURG, Va. -- Anat Elazari and the doubles team of Felice Lam/J.J. Larson continued their hot streaks Sunday winning the Flight A brackets at the Hokie Fall Invitational. The event, held at the Burrows/Burleson Tennis Center on the Virginia Tech campus, included players from Appalachian State, East Tennessee State, James Madison, Radford, Winthrop and Virginia Tech.
Elazari (Jr., Tiberias, Israel), ranked No. 73 nationally, rolled through the tournament without the loss of a set as she defeated teammate Jennifer Larson (Fr., Orchard Park, N.Y.), 6-1, 6-3 in the championship match. The tournament title was the second in as many weeks for Elazari who won last week's Wake Forest Invitational. She has won eight straight matches and 16 consecutive sets.
In doubles, Lam (Sr., Seattle, Wash.)/Larson improved to 10-0 with an 8-3 victory in the Flight A final over Caceras/Takahashi (Winthrop). The Tech pair also won the William & Mary and Wake Forest Invitationals earlier this season.
Jessica Long (Fr., Elizabethtown, Pa.) won the Flight B singles title with a hard-fought 6-7 (2), 6-4, 6-2 victory against Masha Ilina (East Tennessee State) while Gabriela Carvalho (Fr., Rock Hill, S.C.) dropped the third-place match, 6-1, 6-2 to Renata Caceras (Winthrop).

Flight C featured an all-Tech singles final as Holmes defeated Facchina, 6-3, 6-2. Catherine Slagel (So., Richmond, Va.) dropped her third-place match, 6-2, 6-0 against Muriel Sherwood (East Tennessee State).
The Hokies return to action Oct. 22-26 when they travel to Philadelphia, Pa. to participate in the ITA Eastern Regional Championships.
