Hokies Ranked High in East Region
Kinard/Lam ranked third in doubles

BLACKSBURG, Va. - The Virginia Tech women's tennis team has four players included in the Fall Intercollegiate Tennis Association East Region singles and doubles rankings. The Hokies had one singles players and two doubles teams ranked high following the fall individual portion of the schedule.
Anat Elazari (So., Tiberias, Israel) is ranked 21st in the East Region which includes over 90 teams and 700 players. Elazari was 5-5 during the fall playing against some of the top players in the region. Elazari teamed with Carolyn Kramer (Jr., Manchester, Mo.) to achieve a No. 14 doubles ranking following a 5-5 fall campaign.
Elissa Kinard (Jr., Charleston, S.C.) and Felice Lam (Jr., Seattle, Wash.) are ranked No. 3 in the East Region after an impressive 11-2 fall season. The Tech duo advanced to the finals of the ITA Eastern Regional tournament in last October and won Flight B at the Virginia Tech Invitational.
The Hokies open the dual match season on Jan. 24 hosting Seton Hall at 9 a.m. and James Madison at 2 p.m. All home matches are played at the Burrows/Burleson Tennis Center on the Virginia Tech campus.
