Tech concludes play at Kitty Harrison Invitational

Spring Dual Match season next for Hokies

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- The Virginia Tech women's tennis team concluded play on Sunday at the Second Annual UNC Kitty Harrison Invitational. The event was hosted by the University of North Carolina at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center, where both indoor and outdoor courts were used in the tournament.

The tournament featured Duke, East Tennessee State, Furman, Marshall, Miami, Minnesota, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Winthrop and the host Tar Heels. The event utilizies a hidden-dual format where each match will be a dual between two teams, competing either in singles or doubles. However, the event is considered an individual competition, and no team scores will be calculated. Instead, all results will be recorded per individual and will contribute to the player's ITA rankings for the 2005-06 season.

Complete Tech results follow from each day of the tournament. The Hokies will return to action on Feb. 4 hosting Richmond at 9 a.m. and Radford at 6 p.m. All home matches are played at the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center on the Virginia Tech campus.
