CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The Virginia Tech women’s tennis team won four singles matches on Friday in the Kitty Harrison Invitational. The tournament is hosted by the University of North Carolina and is being held at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center where both indoor and outdoor courts will be utilized. Matches are also be played at Duke University’s Amble Tennis Stadium and Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center.

The tournament features players from Duke, Florida, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Minnesota, North Carolina, NC State, Princeton, TCU, Virginia, Virginia Tech and William & Mary. Each player will participate in four rounds of singles and four rounds of doubles. There will be no team scoring in the event.

Saturday’s schedule has the Hokies playing at the Duke University courts where they will play doubles at 9 a.m. and at 10:30 a.m. followed by singles at 3 p.m. On Sunday, Tech will move back to the UNC complex where the Hokies will play doubles at 9 a.m. and singles at 10:30 a.m.
